Introduction

This page supposes that you have already read: How to Boot Windows without problems and How to Boot Windows withou problems (from a second hard disk) and that after trying to boot it it seems to boot but somehow it stops booting. That's a windows problem and not a Linux specify one although maybe some Linux installation might generated it.

Windows XP / 2000 / NT refuses to boot

TODO: BOOT WITH A WINDOWS XP RECOVERY DISK. RUN CHKDSK -PR. FIXBOOT. FIXMBR. TELL THAT FIXMBR IT IS OPTIONAL AND IF YOU RUN IT YOU WILL HAVE TO RECOVER GRUB WITH SUPER GRUB DISK (LINK TO HOWTOFIXGRUB WIKI PAGE). ALSO TELL THAT CHKDSK IS NOT NEEDED IN MOST OF THE CASES.
